Wildfires

In many regions of the world, fires were a natural, sometimes regular, phenomenon to which forests had adapted.

But fires happen more frequently and with greater intensity. The particular danger arises from the interaction of global warming and wildfires:

The combination of prolonged heat waves, droughts and low humidity together with dry and flammable vegetation quickly leads to very intense fires that are difficult to extinguish.

DETIF España

Wildfires are a social problem and, unlike other disasters, are closely linked to human activity.

Fire is a natural but preventable process to live with, so the challenge is to learn how to better mitigate it, minimize socioeconomic impacts, and keep them as small and effective as possible.

By reducing the number of large fires, we will significantly reduce the area affected by wildfires. This work requires prevention, control and surveillance throughout the year, especially during the summer season, when the vast majority of fires usually occur.

DETIF Detection

The intervention of human and material resources to put out a large wildfire represents an expense close to 50,000 euros per hour

State and local governments must develop a comprehensive wildfire management strategy that invests in social prevention and prioritizes land management and surveillance to restore our natural network.

DETIF CamCarrusel

Our objective is to reduce as much as possible the number of hectares burned by fires.

Our job is to offer an automatic wildfire early detection system to surveillance networks as a complement and reinforcement of their hard work at a competitive price.
